My Bottle Leaked During Transit

While we do our best to ensure a safe and secure delivery when buyers opt in for home delivery, we cannot guarantee protection against leakage while items are in transit post-sale. If you are purchasing any lot where age or condition may be a transit concern, we strongly recommend arranging for an in-person pick up at our offices here in Chicago, IL.

  • If the seal is intact but minimal leakage has occurred, the bottle is still safe to open and enjoy.


My Bottle Completely Broke During Transit

To receive a full refund for complete breakage of a bottle, you'll need to have purchased our Breakage Insurance (3% of hammer price):

    • If you've received a package, and you suspect there to be issues with it (smell of alcohol, visible signs of leakage on box exterior), be sure to video tape and document opening of package.

    • Email photos to customerservice@unicornauctions.com.
๐Ÿ“Œ Without Breakage Insurance, we cannot guarantee reimbursement for broken bottles.

  • Leaks

  • Cracks

  • Chips

  • Scratches
  • Label damage or staining

  • Lost packages

Our bottles are sold on a consignment basis, which means:

  • We cannot provide replacements

  • However, weโ€™ll offer links to similar lot listings so you can bid on a comparable item in an upcoming auction
